This distribution is quite correct.

Pros
Good pay.
Flexi work arrangements, great for those with young kids.
Great work life balance, hardly have to ot.
Some of the most talented, and hardworking people in it.
Immediate boss is great, actively try to find opportunities for you to go up.
The working environment is setup for success.
Great place to be in if you want to contribute to the public good, and yet have multiple opportunities to learn on the job.

Cons
Management has several blunders last year.
First, hired while team of 60 with inflated titles / salaries. Then send out email saying no more money, need cut cost, causing panic.
Then, tell everyone no need to panic, will just freeze headcount while waiting for people to leave on their own.

Advice to Management
Management need to plan further ahead. Also need to pick up some PR skills.
After reading so many past posts about people complaining about the compensation, I still don't get it.

Aren't the increments and bonuses really high already? This organisation seems to already pay all employees really well, with really good work life balance already, compared to other ministries and stat boards...

I see what they did there. Redefining handshake 🤝 meeting as “interview”

Yes, we all understand that some saga happened previously.

But currently, if you compare the compensation and worklife balance of most average employees in this organisation, to other ministries and stat boards, isn't life already pretty good?
