I see some people quit few weeks after finding out they got low ball by HR. At least they know the truth and quit or not is their choice. We need to respect that.
There was never any mass hiring especially just for one BU as ST is always having difficulties in hiring without reputed brand name.

That why in 2023 after March bonus, there was a mass resignation and higher management suddenly wake up their idea and scramble. Does thing improve after that?

ai yo, singapore only produce a couple of hundreds of CS grads, esp if u exclude those private uni because they can be bought for

if local uni vs private uni, local uni might be preferred for higher positions

of course, need private uni to fill those farmers role but will be hard for them to get high up in rank/career

always got job for IT, just need to adapt

The first job must be carefully selected, otherwise it will lead to lifetime losses.

You do know that ST is NOT a tech company.

Where you get your cert won't matter if the management plays favouritism.

Tell you a funny story. Have an old assistant principal engineer. He worked long long. Private overseas part time degree. One day he rage quit and join another division across the street.

His job title changed from assistant principal engineer to engineer.
Title means nothing it's about the actual pay.

The fact that he spent the last decade feeling good that he is M1 but in reality his current pay only match the current E5 pay scale... Very sad.

Also, I have seen so many employee quit as senior manager become project manager. Or senior principal engineer become senior consultant.

Some of the M1 role not even 5.5k, it means that your M1 RO could be paid 2k lesser than you but still have to manage you
