In general, suggest that this being a forum about lawyering matters, we try to abstain from very strong opinions directed at specific individuals unless substantiated. It doesn't reflect well on the profession, not to mention those concerned may take it very seriously.

I also think the hat fits wahahahaaaaa
If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Academic wally is a duck

To be fair, I understand the future runs of the RHT part A prep course will be jointly conducted by SMU going forward.
The association with a SMU now gives some perception of assurance of standards and objectivity even though it still smacks of commercialism. To be clear, I'm not suggesting that any previous runs were substandard or non-objective in any way. But public perception is impt.
I don't care much for the RHT brand name on the course (as private education provider to law grads) - i still think it's a blatant commercial move that MinLaw and SMU shouldn't have approved, but I guess industry regulators smarter than me saw a pressing gap in the market? Who knows?

Wally's Moneymaking Scheme
Wally set those "standards". To better meet Wally's "standards", students have to pay Wally extra to know his "standards".

I don’t see an issue thou, it could have been held at NUS or SUSS for that matter. I think the underlying issue is to uphold the quality and standards of teaching

Given the upcoming recession, will there be a glut or a dearth of lawyers?
Will trainee allowance and 0 PQE assoc pay go up or down?

Genius Business Model Of A Singaporean Company Law Professor
As SILE Dean, Mark As Harshly As Possible For Part A To Cause An Unacceptable Failure Rate. Leave Part B Takers Alone.
Do Not Offer Extra Consults Or Lectures Through The Existing SILE Course To Reduce "Unacceptable Failure Rate". Instead, Proceed To Prey On The Conflict Between Local Versus Overseas Grads By Permeating The CMI Overseas Grad Rhetoric. Appear In The Media To Entrench This Rhetoric Of "Paid Degrees" And Reverberate The Shame Of These CMI Grads.
Proceed To Set Up His Own Course To Compete With SILE's Existing Part A Course. More Failures, More Potential Customers......
Overseas Grads Are Usually Richer Anyway. Surely An Extra $3k Is A Small Sum To Grease Wally With Before Wally Willingly Imparts His Wisdom?
IF Part A Takers Fail Using SILE's Part A Course / Wally's Part A Course Takers Magically Have A Higher Pass Rate...... Potential Business From These Rich Overseas Grads Can Now Be Diverted Away From SILE....... Into Wally's Own Coffers.
SILE, You Just Got Pwned Without Knowing It.
Profit...... For This Genius Of A Company Law Professor....... Company Directors Should Consider Hiring Him......
SILE How Can Dis B Allow??
