your post was way too lengthy, i just skimmed through it.
it's my 1st time posting in this topic starter's (TS) thread. pls see my points below:
1) how the hell u get 6 points for O levels R5 but only got 2.8 polytechnic GPA??? unless u sleeping in class or smth. only way i can think of is either u lazy or have mental problems (cant take stress/anxiety disorder/etc). u shld rly see a medical specialist if u have such problems or it will haunt u for life.
2) i have friends who are at least 5 years older than u from the same uni n they are earning at least 6k monthly. the key point is to apply for jobs that ARE RELEVANT to your major.
3) to those saying that he should try FA or aka insurance agent, let me present the stats to u. this was what i was told by 1 of the "hiring managers / directors" from a insurance company in 2024. usually only 3 out of 10 new employees hit MDRT and they work like crazy/long hours or have very good network connections. and before we even talk about earning recurring commission, u will need to find at least 5 customers monthly who are willing to part with you a minimum of $500 per month.
4) lastly, pls do your pte degree some justice. RMIT isnt cheap at around 35 to 45k SGD. why would u even work in FnB that doesnt even require a degree in the 1st place?
above is all the feedback i have for u.

TS sounds like a fake RMIT grad trying to bash own uni into oblivion.
I know of a few RMIT grads who have done better and they do not put down their own uni.
Passive aggressive mindset is not going to help.
Gov HR does not recognise the Master's degree if there is no recognised Bachelor's degree.
Some pte companies might not mind.
Do what your heart dictates and be positive.

He already explained sort of, he was having some emotional/mental issues around jc due to personal situation at that time, maybe it influenced the subsequent poly performance as well. Pls don’t get him started… this is salary not therapy forum
Also, it could be that O level is easier to just mug, whereas A level or equivalent requires more analysis and team-based assessments like projects etc.. just speculating..
