Yea this. I left before Jul, now my salary is lower than what I'd get if I stayed. Tho I must say the pay range outside is kind of bad except for internal audit roles and OT-heavy acc roles. Hope it has gotten better now.

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure what happened, but lately, many people have been seeking my audit services. Am I becoming that popular?

Should I consider charging higher or premium fees since the demand for my services is increasing?

But technical ability is always useless without the impetus to do the correct things, to do what is right and to demand firm accountability from your peers

When was the last time you spoke to your CEO/CFO/Managing Partner for constructive suggestions to improve the shortcoming and processes?

When was the last time you thoroughly sought financial accountability from other C suites and their departments?

As a company staff, since the first day you join

Must believe in challenging the existing norms and challenging other departments where necessary

Must always be outspoken

Must always disagree with the CEO and other C suite with basis

This is something that Gen Z should hopefully learn

If there is mistake in finance department, dont be afraid to confront CFO

Its like being a wingman on Top Gun, not just firing missiles but being the MVP to save, direct, strike, lead & support the team

I think, for audit, it’s quite useless. The reward doesn’t really compensate for the amount of effort. So, most would just prefer to lay low.

Now appraisal period is over and some rated badly with no progession. Why ppl still shamelessly stay for so many years. Is it passion or is it a place for good cash. Whats u ppl view?
