Agree, in the past before the unlimited leave policy still can en cash the leave are being forward. Now is just worse and trying to use a nicer phrasing of unlimited leaves to entice ppl to think the company is great place to work. weekend work is very last min

sometimes the boss promise the sat we can rest at home

end up, he will say, sorry the project timeline tight, need to rush, this weekend continue to come back...

if I ask does it mean next weekend also the same, he will say "it depend...."

Just take the leave, the flag only comes in around maybe 30 days. I regularly attend dinners and events, all the upper management also always talk about maximising the unlimited leaves themselves. I'm not sure which track you're in but most people around me all take leaves rather liberally (of course responsibly as well i.e. not when deadlines are due)
