Working in SMRT

Have an interview for Executive Engineer in Rolling Stock. Asking the likely salary benchmark I will likely be pegged to based on my traits:

NTU EEE (2nd Upper)
Cumulative 2 years worth of Intern in Rail Industry (over 9 years).

Just wanted to get a sensing to better mentally prepared on what numbers to expect and how much at most can negotiate for.

Any one can share their recent SMRT Interview experiences for Engineering Roles?

Also heard currently the Engineering job market is very bad? Could the starting fresh graduate pay be revised downwards in recent months?

Govt related companies normally do not cut pay.
They tend to be already at the low end.
The most is that they will just freeze the pay until market improves.

No pay freeze. Bonus freeze might be possible though. Smrt pays generally well and the workload is easy. Besides the AWS, PB can easily be 3.2-3.5 months.

Unless you are a scholar, passion and internship experience has zero bearing on starting pay in SMRT, or LTA or any related organisation. This is the harsh reality of the working world. Time to wake up.
