Also, because audit is very tedious like legal and require slight technical expertise besides doing massive documentation
But pay half of lawyer plus must do timesheet
Good luck to you if the fees are low and all first year noob client

If you consider the time spent on the job, there’s hardly any personal time. We cannot take annual leave within certain period. It’s work, study, work, study. The overall package for accountants (MNC) might be higher than that for auditors.

It’s around a $300-$400 raise for A1 compared to the previous batch, which had no increment.
Considering the time value of money, it’s better to get the money now than later. You can also quit anytime since you’re not entitled to the bonus.

If u in audit long enough u know is just getting the homework submit in time. Just gtfo as soon as u can.
They can always outsource to any firm to do the job at a fee. I managed these arrangement. Although its a higher cost to the firm, no choice... still have to get the job done.
Quality is never the priority in audit. Dont oversell urself and get out soon.

Good. Audit should be outsourced to 3rd world countries. Low skilled routine commoditized work (office equivalent of blue collar job) shouldn't be sucking in all our grads. We should be aiming to expand up the value chain and create higher value jobs for Singaporean graduates.
More automation, more outsourcing is the way to go. Singaporean grads should do higher order tasks
