Are you OK?
Don't cover your work means shitty manager?
Don't be so self-entitled.

Please don’t stir conflict. In fact, foreigners are very welcome here. The Big 4 firms would not have increased pay if they weren’t overly reliant on foreigners. Currently, locals are the minority in senior roles ( one of the big 4 ~ 39%)
Due to the shortage of locals and the over-reliance on foreigners, they are forced to raise pay to meet EP requirements or attract local talents. Without these pressures, management would not take any action. Lol

I realize we have the tenancy to blame each other and question each other.

It’s a teamwork. So everyone shares the responsibility.

I heard some big4 like kpmg is raising salary by 20% again in October. Are there similar announcements in other big4 firms?

hi, know this is mainly for "audit" audit (i'm not from accounting background haha idk what to call it), but a recruiter from a big 4 firm contacted me regarding tech risk/IT audit, is the structure/salary similar to what is shared here? recruiter shared that the pay is in the mid-3k range, that seems low compared for fresh grads nowadays? Not sure if it is similar
background: not-so-fresh grad from overseas uni, took 1 year off and came back because of major illness, but did not share with recruiter
Glassdoor says about 4.5k for similar roles across big 4, but not sure about the seniority levels, any input is appreciated!

I am joining KPMG next week as a SA. Do you know if I am eligible for the pay raise?
