First time hearing this. Never seen anyone who didn’t take study leave before. If you fail, it’s your money you’re risking, especially for EY no pass, no money. You help out on the engagement, the engagement meets the deadline and closes. Will your bonus be higher because of the extra hard work you put in during your leave? No. And if you fail, your manager will xian qi you and say why you so cui? the engagement belongs to the firm. only the qualification belongs to you. You need to weigh the pros and cons. And for the manager who’s not even willing to cover for those few days, he or she can f k off.

Are you from blue? One of the associates just completely MIA from work even though not on any leave but we're all wondering why that associate never received a PIP to date.

she want 2 days is her own problem. Just tell your mgr u feel like you need more time to study. If she/he ever said sth along the lines of “ how come this colleague only needs 2 days”, u just go ahead and Yaya she very smart haha so can cover me a bit more pls?

I'm an audit manager. To be honest, I'm quite afraid of the associate take long annual leave during period because I need tank their work which I don't want.

I already loaded with my own work, why should I tank the work for my associates?

you already declared that you are a shitty manager. A manager is to manage resources and manage the team.

You refuse to tank the work for your associates meaning that you don't even care them as a team or subordinates.

Please don't tank other people work or let other people tank your work. You let them die and you self manage your work.

Burn the bridge and we are all good. Loud and clear with the intention, no assumption
