Anyone had school leaders talk about how the current CEP system is going to change? And how “officers will be promoted based on their readiness” isn’t that happening already? I can foresee it’s going to be a change in name for the system only.

Last time there are officers who get consistent Bs but are not promoted due to their low CEP.
This change is going to address that.

although it's been the works for quite a while already, details are still sketchy at best.

it seems like a move away from a 'time-based' promotion to a more subjective 'when you're ready'. when senior kps are unwilling to step down to make room for younger ambitious teachers, it's a ticking time bomb (lots of frustrations, weariness etc).

If the Career End Point (translated to outcome basis) is not changed, personnel may have their promotions delayed.
If the person is ready and keen for higher appointment, he should be given the opportunity especially if he has a proven track record.
Names change all the time. It is the outcome which we should focus on.

The problem won't go away if people have a higher estimate of themselves than they really are.
