I support the move, which is good move for the industry, but GenZ should stop complaining and work their ass off.

You see why most of the partners / dinobus working SM/directors are singaporean is because they can “tong”, work their ass off in their early years to be at what they are doing today.

The payjump for the past 10 years for audit associates are rather generous.

Audit associate at 2015 drawing 2700-2800
2024 : 4300

Seniors will be the next one who feel not fair where they only early slightly higher but need cover mountain and sea ( review conso. Impairment. Dcf . Annual report and fs)
A1 mostl do vouching on epxenses and banks nia

Lets not bring JHk/ceca/jolibee into this debate

My philosophy for the past 10 years in audit always :

Chiong monday to Thursday if need.
Leave sharp on friday. , no work on weekend unless super necessary.

But of course: you need to be very on the ball, organised, prioritised your task, good project management skill ( which you will
Improve along the way)

Scare what. With the current audit software and connectivity, easier to offshore to KL / philipines/vietnam / secondees from australia/hk

Why are people arguing that A1s are overpaid with the revised salary structure? Meanwhile there are A1s in the US pulling in close to USD80kp.a (SGD100k+p.a) lol
