For myself took 10 years I think is quite average. At my time, we don’t get promote from analyst to senior analyst in 1 year time. Took me 4 +years to reach consultant. Another 3.5 years to reach AM. AM I got recognized by my MD so took 1.5 yr only to get to Manager. If not I would have been stuck for another

This high flyer good performer kind is like what kind of attributes or need to do what in order to promote fast?

Summary of ACN in short:
1. ACN is good for fresh grads but not for mid career people or those who have working experience.
2. Working hours are sh*t, you can expect to OT everyday till midnight or past midnight even, weekends too. Don’t expect people to tell you to OT, you’re automatically supposed to know you need to OT.
3. Many leave after a few years, a large portion due to the work life balance (yes you can argue consulting or other big companies work life balance also not that great, but you try acn one is like everyday your body can’t take it one, and coupled with the pay is not even worth)
4. The company name is known for sure, same for any MNCs or so, there’s good and not so good employees, exit opportunities depend largely on you as an individual still.
Good luck,
Ex-ACN intern and Analyst (left btw for a higher salary)

Although there are a few projects where you get to really give advice but that’s cos the project lead is strong and all, but rare now. Can only say this is what acn culture is like in Singapore, if you go to the US, acn there is much better.

What are the kinds of projects that management consulting peeps do tho?

Agree 👏👏 I know colleagues that don't OT at all, those people know how to get things done.
And I don't know why everyone keeps complaining on work life balance , you go MBB or other tech companies. Also have to work like crazy, of course with a better salary compensation.
All want to have high salary but don't want to work so hard?

LOL ok can, continue living on into that pathetic dream of yours while others are telling you what a dogshit company Accenture is. You wanna slave yourself away for the whole week in the name of “work-life balance” and in the “hustling” culture while being a commoner and normie for the rest of your life? Be my guest. 😂😂😂
I swear half of you all in here are just desperate to find a job at this point and it really shows. Please la, it’s an employee market now — why you can’t find job now leh?
