Hello, just got the offer for Accenture for the general tap. At the same time I was also progressed to the next stage for RB graduate consulting analyst program. I’m not sure if I should reject the offer from Accenture or I should accept it cos RB is still quite early in the hiring stages. Heard that RB is better in consulting than that of Accenture.
Anyone who have insights into these 2, would appreciate if you could share them and the reasons too. I’m looking more on 3 factors - (1) Brand/Company Name, (2) Salary and benefits, (3) Promotion and Exit Opportunities

Hi congrats and hope you can share more regarding these:
1. Did they require you to attain a certain CGPA or at least like a second upper honours?
2. Did they require you to graduate by a certain date or month?
I have heard of some saying acn is flexible on your start date and that they don’t require you to score a certain gpa. Not too sure if it’s true and hope you can confirm on these since you’ve gotten an offer

Thank you!
No GPA requirement that I know of, and no required graduation date.
HR did tell me though the period which you join will affect the duration to promotion, because the promotion cycle is in June. If you join before June and complete a year, you will be eligible for promotion next June. If you join after mid- year, you have to complete one year and then wait a few more months after to be promoted the following June.

Many of us who applied to the general tap ended up with tech roles, a few who were lucky get consulting offers but not many. So if you’re really into consulting, you stand a higher chance if you have consulting experience (especially at MBBs) or you applied and got processed for the graduate consulting analyst opening as their hiring stage is rather different (they do not have the hackkerank).

Aren't they all under the same program though why would they bother differentiating general and non general TAP

I joined exactly on 1 Jun 2021. will I make it in time for this promotion cycle in June 2022 to senior analyst? I asked HR and didn’t get a definite answer

Thanks so much for sharing on this! Oh my but many unis aren’t able to join before June tho 😬 so guess majority of us take a little longer to be promoted 😪
Are you able to join right after you finished your final exams or do you have to produce your confirmed gpa or like a graduate document or something to confirm you have “graduated”?

There’s different pods under TAP and the general TAP was put out way earlier and from there, you don’t get a definite choice to pick consulting. For the Graduate Consulting Analyst - TAP it’s just 2 Pods, one on tech consulting and the other mgmt consulting. For this opening’s applicants if you get an offer you’re confirmed on consulting just the type of consulting. That’s the only difference, so basically one opening is direct while the other you have to see if the hr will put you to your desired choice. As to why they differentiate, guess you’re asking the wrong person, you can write in an check with them on this.
