Travel not for everyone and the MBB lifestyle may not suit all, actually same for consulting. You’ll notice many in consulting even those in MBB leave the industry after 3-5 years due to the workload, especially if you’re looking to start a family. But of course in this op context, definitely better to jump to better consulting firms than transfer internally at Accenture. Workload similar but yet you demand a higher salary and get to explore.

Either way regarding payscale, really depends on how you nego leh. They are able to pay the same as MBB, but that's if you can perform well.

Don’t troll pls. ACN strategy analyst is around 6k. Why go for Accenture strategy if you can go to MBB or other tier 2 that pays even higher than the MBB. Accenture don’t negotiate the salary one, it’s align with what they offer for that role.

LOL who tell you accenture don't negotiate salary? Your own experience or what? And the 6k figure is from glassdoor?
But of course I do agree to go MBB instead. You should know most MBB fresher came from which school then

As someone who joined ACN as a fresh graduate about a decade ago (now I’m CL7 manager). Let me list down the pros and cons.
Pros:
1. structured career path. First few promotions to CL9 consultant is almost guaranteed even for average performer within 3-4 years. Just need to put in the hours.
2. many different roles to take on (since you on project basis)
Cons:
1. long hours, no work life balance. Will only get worse the higher you go.
2. may get stuck at CL9 consultant and hard to make it to Assistant manager if you don’t demonstrate you are hungry enough.
Advise to fresh grads: Accenture is a great place to kick start your career. If you can make assistant manager by 5-6 years, the pay is very comfortable for someone in late 20s/ early 30s. (8-9k/ mth) Also plenty of opportunities to change job as Accenture’s brand name is well-knowned in Singapore and globally.

8-9k monthly for 30s not even worth, as you have said the work life balance only gets worse the higher up you go. Instead, usually the higher up you go your work life balance should be better. Please jump to better options out there.

8-9k when you’re 30s and considering you’ve risen up the ranks isn’t good tbh, and as you have pointed out, the work life balance only gets worse the higher up you go. Usually you should have better work life balance as you rise up the ranks. So Accenture isn’t worth tbh, please jump to better opportunities out there.
