Agreed. My current client (*h*s) keep on changing and flipping around. The “consultants” working with them are clueless on how to negotiate and keep on changing requirements

Majority will end up in software pod. If you’re looking to do consulting work why are you even applying to Acn?

Possible. If start off as CL11. Means 1,2, 2,2. This kind is high flyer good performer definitely.

For myself took 10 years I think is quite average. At my time, we don’t get promote from analyst to senior analyst in 1 year time. Took me 4 +years to reach consultant. Another 3.5 years to reach AM. AM I got recognized by my MD so took 1.5 yr only to get to Manager. If not I would have been stuck for another

Why is it consulting when you're just taking instructions from clients? Aren't you supposed to provide the advice? lol

True the reason why the hr are telling y’all that they can’t confirm if you get consulting pods is cos they have another opening just for the consulting pods. So of course naturally majority of the offers for consulting will go to that opening, many general TAP applicants (not the graduate consulting analyst) end up in the tech pods.

I think some of them missed the other consulting openings so they have to wait till end 2022 to apply, the one that came out around the same time as acn is Roland Berger, that’s why there’s someone asking on it.

So would you say promotion in acn is quite hard? Is this also one of the reasons as to why many leave the company? What are some of the perks or good things as an acn employee? Hope you can shield some light on this since you’re in acn alr, thought acn was pretty good but like so many people are saying it’s bad and all in this thread 😬

Got a point there pal, I think it’s just how acn in Singapore do things. We’re told that clients consult us for our services, but dk since when it started for many projects that the clients feel that they have the “power” to be demanding and it just became part of the work style or culture here. Although there are a few projects where you get to really give advice but that’s cos the project lead is strong and all, but rare now. Can only say this is what acn culture is like in Singapore, if you go to the US, acn there is much better.

So does it mean if we choose the software and tech pods, we’re better than those under the consulting pods? But the consulting pods are super popular tho. If we’re allocated to software pods (roles such as business analyst, cloud analyst, integration arch analyst, etc) it’s hard for us to jump to other consulting firms in future and can only stay within the tech field, don’t know if even jumping to AWS or google is possible.

Is not just the consulting side, the whole of acn does things this way, the clients are all demanding and change things here and there last min, but all of us have to keep quiet and just follow, even the project lead also don’t have a say in this. This is also one of the reasons that contribute to why everyone always has to OT.
