Yes.. I'm almost 40 but I'm only earning $5000 plus. My friends were very shocked.. they thought I'm earning close to $10K. Hahahaha!! They have this impression that healthcare workers are well compensated.

if its so niche, wont NUHS jump to want to get you over?

My hospital is the only hospital doing this service. I'm not patient fronting.

It does but people still look at your basic pay right? It's a known fact that the basic pay for HCW is much lower than other industries. Even public service has much higher bonuses and starting pay .

Always look at the annual package, not just the monthly package.

Earning 7000 per month but 1month bonus vs earning 5500 per month but 4.5m bonus. It is the same.

agreed. Look at TC and not just basic. MNC for example, has no AWS and sometimes minimal bonus.

that is why I dislike HCWs forever harping they are lowly paid in terms of their basic salaries. But honestly, they are decently paid if you factor in their total compensation.

Of course, it will not be as highly paid as your tech and fin bros and sis. But its still decent.

Looks like it's time to jumpship to NHG or nuhs. Singhealth bonus is the worst of the lot. 2months plus PB for B graders? Lol.

With 10 years of experience in both Private and Public section each.

I will say that Public HCWs are paid well enough maybe 70-80th range, but not the highest paid compared to the top tier private section.

We also have union to help negotiate and match HCWs pay against the private section, every few years.
