Depends on your class of honours and whether you did NS. For NUS/NTU, normal MX scheme:

FCH with NS: 3.7K
Second-upper with NS 3.6K
If no NS, minus $200

Ministry usually 3 rounds. I got one friend there works very long hours but mostly because of an indecisive boss. At the end of the day, it's all down to your boss.

Default Decent salary?

Currently in public healthcare in mid 3k with 3 year exp. got offer from SB for 4k. Local grad 2nd lower. not sure if offer is worth accepting given the pay seems to be a 1 year exp holder pay (from reading through the thread here)? Appreciate some help. Current annual package close to 60k.

Pay increment i heard <10% and Definitely can’t compare to SB or Ministry. Every other years will have market adjustment. Progression is slow too, but dependent on your boss if keen to push you up. If you’re looking to progress fast in public healthcare suggest u take up their management programmes.

Why is this question even here? This is for CIVIL SERVICE. Public healthcare is not and never have been part of Civil Service. Public healthcare employees are not civil servants and are not governed by the Government Instruction Manual IM2.

Hi thanks for response, wanted to clarify, got an offer from a SB, not from public healthcare.. just wondering if the offer from SB is worth to take up.

The value of each proposition lies in the beholder. So if you think and feel it is worth your priority, then I would say grab it before it goes to someone else.

I say go for it. Progression and likely bonuses will be better in the SB. Mid 3k after 3 years in public healthcare, to me, does seem to suggest that there are greener pastures outside.

Anyone worked in international relations policy roles in ministries before? Is it intense? Did an interview and they said their team is very young and they prefer hiring fresh grads. A bit hesitant now because I assume fresh grads are harder to burn out? Haha
