The reason why you see 1-2 years is due to the promotion cycle and joining date.
e.g. if your ministryís promotion takes place in July and you join in December, it will take you 19 months to reach your first promotion window.

SIM/SIT/local U doesnít matter after you enter. Itís scholar vs non-scholar. i.e SIT scholar > NUS farmer.
Correction - SIT scholar > NUS farmer, but everything and anything > SIM trash.

SIT, as cui as it is, is still a proper university that grants proper degrees. The same cannot be said of SIM 'university' and its constituents.

Carry on.

Apologies, a slight correction of my post.

SIT scholar > NUS farmer, but everything and anything > SIM trash

SIT, as cui as it is, is still a proper university that grants proper degrees. The same cannot be said for SIM 'university'. There's no SIM 'scholars' for a good reason

Carry on.

SIT and SIM belong to the same category. Both are external degrees. SIM is more established though.

Your beloved SIM is certainly more established as a degree mill.

overall, a poor attempt at impersonation - SIM doggies emit a certain stench - I can smell it through the computer screen.

Try again, doggy

Default Interview

Hi, anyone completed their interviews with CSC before?

How many rounds of interview are there?

Is the salary attractive for a normal executive role?

Whats the culture like?

Default Transition from civil service to private

Hi, i am deciding whether to take up a scholarship with the civil service as not sure what I want for my career next time yet. I am curious if itís possible to switch from civil service to private sector if I realise that private sector is more engaging and interesting a job. Also, what is the pay difference like between private and CS and whatís the likelihood that I will be able to secure a job at IBD if I work hard locally
