Your direct RO all the way up to your director matters, since they would have to fight for your APA and promotion. So it helps if:
1. Your RO/director knows you will enough to know the good work you've been doing.
2. They bother to fight for you.
3. They are powerful/smart enough to get their way.

Yes. But final say is director because director will have to fight for u in their own words

So even if your RO paint u super good but dir got no words is considered gg

Sigh. Contract roles are scary as hell now in GovTech. Imagine having mouths to feed but the next moment your RO telling you sorry cannot renew. Have to replace you with a perm who have nothing to do. Jiak sai lo
