Civil service should have another round of wage adjustment in 2024. After all, GST is going up in 2024 and prices have gone up so much in 2023. 5% adjustment is a real joke.

Hi, SM(MX11) drawing 6.6k. Recently went for an interview with a SB. HR requested for additional information such as NOK, etc. May I ask what's the usual timeline for SB to come back with an offer(if selected)?

And also since I am fairly new to CS, can someone enlighten me on SB's payscale and structure? Is it the same as Ministry?

Will they just match my salary or give me an increment if the job offered is an AD position? Thank you.

AD very likely will draw higher than 6.6k.

I'm currently in a MX11A role in the civil service, the turnover in my role is relatively high, due to proximity to higher management (CEO and above). In 3 years, about 40% of my department has left for other roles. My main boss mostly lets me work flexibly, but I report to multiple bosses who keep stacking last minute 'CCA' work on me, which can be stressful as several tasks can coincide. Plus points are the job is stable (often hiring), I work 20mins from home, I have staff to delegate some of the easier 'CCAs', and it can be relaxed when I don't have any 'CCA' work.

I recently got a job offer to work at Singhealth as a 'Senior Manager' with a 5.5% increment and 8 days of additional leave. I initially interviewed for an 'Assistant Director' role, but HR was only willing to offer me SM. The role is also a contract job.

Is SM at Singhealth similar to MX11A or is HR lowballing my job grade? Would you 'downgrade' to a lower level organization in the 'food chain'?

cs degree from private uni, am aware of the stigma surrounding non-autonomous grads in govt sector and appreciate different perspectives

stat board: soft offer at ~4k (gross); non-tech position for their tech project
mnc: written offer at >5k; grad role, tech consulting

was i low-balled, or is it a common pay range for everyone else, or reasonable bcs of my degree?
