accenture is better in terms of name. u can find a lot of ex-accentures in crazy US unicorn companies, crypto companies, large tech like IBM, microsoft, etc.

hardly see any thoughtwork people anywhere lol

Which role in Accenture is considered “best” like in terms of the prestige? And for the TAP, which pod is better in terms of promotion and exit opportunities?

Cos seems like the software pods need many analysts and most of Accenture projects are tech related right? So does that mean you get to promote faster in tech related roles and exit opportunities are better since tech is highly sought after now? But I come from business and non tech background, so I don’t think I’m able to cope.

Isn’t TAP promotion standard across all the pods? 1 year A, 2 years SA.

honestly almost all roles work la, not say u major in econ u better in one pod or u biz major better in another pod lolol.

is consulting better for biz ppl? depends on ur interests and career path mate. wouldnt say its better for any type of major (u should start not caring about majors at this point) but some ppl can withstand it and some ppl cant. if you are hitching your wagon to acn you gotta prepare for your wlb to be sacrificed.

But What if your project is only a few months long, and you move to a new project afterwards, will you still be promoted after the one year mark?

depend la, they might jmiss out if u on the bench, very easy to find excuse one

if ur next project u "cannot perform" due to watever reason you will be put on PIP also

just be friendly to ur new project lead

What’s the point of a standardized promotion which is not based on merit but based on no of years in the firm? Means the work and better you perform also no point? Really funny this TAP thing
