It due to the compeition from other firm at this covid period
not enough FT
every company is using high salary to lure people, substainable or not I no comment
all I can say I saw certain ecommerce company like S***** and L***** the turnover rate is very very high, many people join like 1 year switch to another job liao
Can get in is easy, but can sustain for long like 3-4 years is another question

Recommend all who are lurking on this thread to give this post a read: ://elijames.org/the-two-tiers-of-singapores-tech-companies/ (This was written in 2017 and i think the author would be glad to know the scene now COULD NOT BE MORE DIFFERENT - last time fresh grad SWE 4.5k lol)
Anyway - a core part of the article is that there are good tier and bad tier tech companies in SG. If your company is responsible for projects that clients see no value in developing in house aka cost centers, well ill leave you to figure out which tier youre in. (I think you can also figure out which tier acn is in) Meanwhile on the other side of the equation, companies really fight tooth and nail and pay TOP dollar to attract their talents simply because they are seen as the money makers.
And suddenly alot of what this thread is saying is put into context and makes a ton of sense and you should be looking to exit to a good tier next.

Having said that, if
1. You want to do some tech related work
2. Don't want to work in a stressful tech company like AWS or META
3. Want to do some management work
4. Do not work so much coding
5. Like to interact with people, comfortable with talking to people face to face in meeting room/zoom
Then accenture is a right fit for you
I cannot say the same for EY and Deloitte Consulting, as I nvr work there before. But I have some colleague from Deloitte they jump to ACN, they say not much hand on with tech stuff compare to ACN.
Just sharing what I know from first hand experience

Very true.
Accenture is really a good place to join for the average Joe like me. When I first joined, life was quite chill unlike my high flyer friends who went to google/ Facebook these kind and stress as fk everyday. Current I am S. Analyst. Most likely hitting cl9 in dec. Life is quite ok la. The 12 hrs/ day one is got but happens during deadline/ submission weeks for me only. Most days are just 9-6+ 7ish. The pay is not the best but not bad already, can let me take grab everyday and eat 20-30$+ meal at restaurants. I am contented. Not looking to job hops around like all those high flyers.

that is a very accurate and sensible post of accenture
I also feel it is not that bad, consider the pay we receive and it is definitely not as bad as China 996 culture

Many young and hungry fresh grad nowadays get fooled by those high flyer stories. What MBB 7k+ starting, FANG 7-8k, Investment banking 8-9k.. but those people are the top 1% of the employment market. Most fresh grad struggling even to get 4k if non tech.
Imo Accenture is a good place to start your career really. Relatively easier to get in then those above mentioned firms. Pay also not bad. Working hours wise. This is Heng suay depend on project/ boss/ client many many factors, but definitely better than those above mentioned companies cheers hope we can promoted together in Dec to hit CL9
