What was your progression like? I left the poly at 34. Also 6 years.

$100 away from the ceiling of pax6 when I left. I was promoted once from 5 to 5A and slided down to 6 when they did the remapping exercise.
Loved the job to bits but couldn't stand the queuing nature of promotion.

We call that the phantom promotion.....
It's all courtesy of the salary review panel headed by a particular principal in 2007. "Blood" is upon his hands for this kind of exploitation.
In 2007, the big winners of the review were the L3 fellows. The salary ceiling was then 6890. Now the equivalent pax 4 is 8980. The big losers were the L5A whose ceiling moved from 5133 to 5150 (pax6) after the review. Now is better after the sept 2012 review, I think around 5500?

Pax 6 or Pax 5 ?
Your Quals - Bachelor/Master/PhD ? Your honour ?
How many years of work experience you had before joining poly?
All this is taken into account for promotion.
