Come come. shouldn't you read the email from HR more carefully?

Yupe. Professionalism is seriously missing here.

PB seems to be an average of 2 months for most, dead wood or not. At least that's what I know.
I don' think PAX4 people are looking at promotion. PAX4 to PAX3 is dependent on whether there's a musical chair of management staff.
I am wondering, whey then say "up to" x%, what are they looking at. Do most people get the maximum?

for your PB , if you just joined (say in Nov or Dec lastyear) sorry, you won't get them for your first year. You must have full year service. But you should be getting prorated increment in march. Where got backdate to Jan? increment is in Mar, ie only see it in April payslip.
Also, it is not necessary that if you hit the ceiling there is an auto promotion to next grade.; and vice versa.
meaning if you get good appraisal (meaning: suck up to bosses) then you can get promotion anytime. Conversely if your bosses don't back you, you can be at the ceiling for decades with no promotion.
I really interested to know why you join poly from ITE and take a pay cut. Poly workload is higher and expectation higher, not like ITE, everyday confirm 500pm pack up and get ready to go home. My guess is you can't stand the students??
|
i can stand students but some are really rowdy and disrespectful. so far here in poly the students are nicer and even though they are not the best of the students, they seem to be hardworking and serious about their future.
joined in oct.

agree that ITE students are rowdier. But I wouldn't take a pay cut to move just because of that since the workload at poly is higher (better students == have to work harder). maybe it is also status thing, i guess.
if you joined oct, you won't get your PB. Simple because there is no appraisal done (how to? you just joined). Your first PB will be next year.
you will get prorated increment. maybe about 1/2 if you're lucky.

Hello. Everyone discusses pay issue , ok. Don't have to take the moral high ground. If you are so noble yourself, donate your revision quantum to the school needy kids fund then instead of mouthing off.

Say that to the ministers when they peg their salaries to the sky.
