When I went for my formal interview, I was told to arrive an hour before the appointed time. I was asked to write 4 short essays based on 4 situational questions. They relate to your previous work experiences, how you'd handle certain situations, etc. The interview was then conducted by a panel consisting of the Director of HR, School's Director, Director of Projects and a HR SM or M. Standard questions were asked: whether I was willing to be stretched; what my 5-year, 10-year plans are; verbally describe my CV (trust me few actually read your CV); explain certain experiences on the CV, etc.
Essence: be smart, alert, and honest (or be a very good actor if your honesty is gonna screw up your chances)...

Not to pour cold water, but you too long never go for interview liao. Most poly have 3 rounds of interview & tkss only is for last round meet big boss to go through motion. Out of the 1st round they will forward 3-4 for 2nd interview and last round usually 1 or 2 left.
If it's RP u refer to, then their SOP is to book 1 full day of all the penalist time and then start slotting candidates into 1 hr slots each. They will usually cram ppl to fill up all slots for the day even if not enough.
You better prepare well. If u go in with a mentality that they already 50% select u and just want to tkss, ur in for a nasty surprise.

Your previous company might have lax recruitment standards, but you should stop extrapolating your limited experience into all hiring scenarios. Most hirers do not call people down just to see if got "bad vibes".

maybe you got the kind of face or character that get you kicked out of many interviewsfirst round, don't blame me on me. haha. "Limited experience". PUnks these days.

I think he makes more sense than you. You are the juvenile one and should stop acting like you know the world. No credibility at all!

i share your interest in going into tertiary education instead of pri/sec. hope you get to achieve it someday. or maybe do PT, i heard its better n no admin stuff to do.

Well, you won't be surprised, I have attended some other interviews where although my CV is displayed in front of the interviewers, they would react with surprise and rummage through it when you state some info that is already inside.
Yup, hope we can achieve it.

Heard that polys are in discussion for salary adjustment. Following the footstep for civil servants which happened in Feb this year.
Anyone can confirm this? The last adjustment was in 2008, which comes with a price, slashing the annual leave drastically.
