I am MX11 and got a C performance grade with a MI of 6% ($360). 31 year old male with NS. 2nd upper. non-scholar.

I think those with B grade will get 8% MI and those with C grade will get 6% MI. At least this is accurate for MX11.
wow, "C" grader at MX11 with 6 years exp, b4 increment , the basic is $6000, after 6% increment , basic is $6360......and in just 6 years exp!!!!

damn good salary!!!

I am same age as you but 2nd lower only getting 60% of your basic salary in GLC....-_-"..I will need to work for another 13 years to hit 6.3k....

one of the social ministries.

Do you mean to say a 31 male non-scholar shouldnt be getting such a MI or salary?

Why is there a differentiation between scholars/non scholars? Who are the scholars? AO or stat board?

Do those stat board scholars get a different increment or just those AO ones? Any scholars here to inform us?

possible but not likely, esp for social sector. your loophole is at C grade. to be better than average i.e. high MX 11 near 7K at age 31, u'll need a high performance profile of (at least or higher than following)

MX12 at age X = B
MX 11 at age X+1 = B (promo)
MX 11 age X+2 = C+ (most likely)
MX 11 age X+3 = B
so on...

It's typical for average scholars at high profile agencies but not a norm for an average in average agencies

can someone tell me, i've had scholarships from NUS for my undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Hence, 2 time scholarships for my studies. If I apply to ministry/stat board, will i be considered a farmer or a scholar? thanks in advance.

To be a real scholars, you won't apply for jobs. Many Agencies will invite u to join them. There're even special talks/invitation for this group.

For your case, default recruitment rule applies. To be fair, I've seen ppl with average or above-average credential absorbed into the elite AO scheme. One of the PSes (was an ex-policeman). But very, very rare cases. Trust me, you won't have time to come to this forum and keep posting.

What are AOs busy with? Attending cooking classes in Paris' Le Cordon Bleu?

I've seen them work. Trust me.

2008: C
2009: B
2010: B
2011: C
2012: B
2013: C

So now 6.1k at 31 years old lor.... just a bit shy of 100k/annum (if one takes into account average bonuses).
