big canon is probably from a stat board that pays well. maybe he/she is doing specialization?
my MI is 8% this year. B grade. how about the rest?

Are you in civil or public service? MXS(2008)? MX11?
I am MX11 and got a C performance grade with a MI of 6% ($360). 31 year old male with NS. 2nd upper. non-scholar.
I think those with B grade will get 8% MI and those with C grade will get 6% MI. At least this is accurate for MX11.

Is Merit increment given every april or after a year of service. I joined the civil service last may, gotten a C and have yet to hear anything on my MI.

Go to PAC@GOV. There is a section labelled Pay Info. Click Current Salary Scale Point. Your updated salary after MI should be reflected there.

MX12. but someone posted in this forum that MI is a fixed amount, instead of %?

$360 MI for MX11 C grader is reasonable. What questionable is the age for a NS male non-scholar. Can the poster share/hint which agency?

It's still before 1 Nov/Dec in previous yr. can't remember which month is exact cut-off - check w HR. Pro-rated MI and PB.

To be fair, the MI quantum is fixed at certain level and PG for most MX. But one also can do a rough conversion for comparison sake. Also, I believe not all agency MX the same - some may adopt percentage (but not sure).
