Owning and staying in a condo is the ultimate dream for most Singaporeans. If you have achieved this, you are good and living the Singapore dream. You are among the cream of the crop.

This is very true. Ever since I moved to my condo, my colleagues, friends and relatives look up to me while my boss gives me the respect look and speak nicely to me.

Nope, the previous comment is quite reflective of the current soceity which only 'bully' those weak ones. Being financially strong, or at least on the surface, does bring about respect and people tend to think twice before sabo u.

An insecure person who has been desperately differentiating himself with the other richer ones around him for too long, such person will never understand the true meaning of contentment.
Only solution, force this person to live in a 3rd world country.

Hearing this the rich man got angry and said: Why don’t you catch more fishes instead of sitting in shadow wasting your time?
Fisherman asked: What would I do by catching more fishes?
Businessman: You could catch more fishes, sell them and earn more money, and buy a bigger boat.
Fisherman: What would I do then?
Businessman: You could go fishing in deep waters and catch even more fishes and earn even more money.

Businessman: You could become a rich businessman like me.

Businessman: You could then enjoy your life peacefully.
Fisherman: Isn’t that what I am doing now?

...heard that from a buddhist monk 10 years ago....
The poor man has been always trying to be rich... but later realise, the rich ones are living just like a poor man.
