I am now 55 years old. Just collected my CPF. All the many years of hard work has paid off. I plan to retire now. Not early retirement. Actually quite late. I think many top professionals already retired in their 40s.

I will sell my condo for $1.3 million and then buy a $500k HDB flat so that I will have $800k cash to spend in retirement. I will also get my CPF Life when I’m 65. $2400 per month. My children will give me $600 per month in total. So my passive income at 65 will be $3000 per month. Same for my spouse. So our total passive income at 65 will be $6000 per month. This should be enough for us.

300-400k per annum, looks good on paper only. Unlikely to be substainable, looking to pivot out from content creation to starting a business in f&b or something

Not many people can retire at 55.
High flyers who retired in their forties are very rare.
I assume these are top bankers, lawyers and doctors.
Most of us are just ordinary workers and professionals.
