Healthier SG signups first mover effect? Better go pte soon if you GP
After 5 years will be hard to sign up new patients.
Will be like the problem specialist now have not being able to get on
IP provider panels.

Not true la.
Going private is not so easy.
Not u go rent a shop then tml start earning liao.
How healthier sg will go is yet to be determined
Still don't make sense financially for private GPs
And I don't see how it will ever make financial sense
Take care of chronic patient properly v draining also.
In ops I take half a patenalistic approach, half scold half counsell and I can get away with it becuase the patient will come back anyway ( dun come back even better..Im busy as it is)
Private land..pple all run off liao.
And whether many of this GPs got the know how or not is another thing
If i collect a hundred dollar for every funny thing I find GPs doing...can
retire liao

Something doesn't tally there. I suspect most of the rude doctors you encounter are either not high earners (cos they have such poor service skills) or they are so senior that they don't bother anymore.
Usually the high earning doctors are very good at talking and polite and customer oriented.
In service business you have to.
You shouldn't take such bad treatment and accept it. Go find better friendlier doctors.

I feel that ops has more "smiling tigers". Private GPland, well you are alone most of the time, so less relevant. And we have limited contact with the management in private GPS anyway.

Gp is 14 but no bonus
14*12=168
In ops, ur base 9, clinical allowance 1.5
u got one Aws one quality 2 CVB 3 performance bonus
So total is 7 mth bonus
9*(12+7) + 1.5*12 = 189
12% premium for not doing evening and sundays and PH

Damn only 200K a year? And how long needed to be an OPS family physician? 5+1+3 minimum at least? I am earning around the same as a 5PQE lawyer in a Big 4 outfit.
Only an average performer with upper second class from NUS. Some friends making 350K all-in working in international firms.
