However, I've heard that 1st year after practicum does not qualify for CONNECT as it is "not a full year" (only cleared practicum in March). Is this true? Does this mean that I did not lose out on any payments? My CONNECT statements show deposits for 2021 and 2022, but not 2020, not sure if this was supposed to be or due to my D grade.
Would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

For 2020 CONNECT statement, refer to the tab in HRP "Pay Advice (May 20 - Sep 21)". This is due to the system migration from HRMS to HRP during that time.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to find my CONNECT statements prior to 2020, in order to be able to confirm whether I got any deposit during my practicum year.

Actually, the D grade no deposit policy only kicked in for WY2021. So you will not have been affected either way. Source: Revisions to the CONNECT Plan circular on intranet

Could I ask for the 13 yrs, female, mid-career, GEO5A, 8.5k (increment 5 to 5A was only $200), how old is the lady and how many years of experience outside teaching does she have?

1. It is not entirely true that you will not get the CONNECT Plan deposit when you get D grade (I've some colleagues who have gotten it in the past, albeit reduced). But there are some conditions which MOE will temporarily withhold or reduce/remove the deposit for that year (e.g. pending disciplinary cases/misconduct etc.). You should go to intranet to find the information, it's there.
2. 1st year after practicum does qualify for CONNECT, it will just be pro-rated (from 1 Jan to 15 Nov) based on the days in service for that year as a full-time staff (not including practicum). So anyone who got posted to schools after practicum and worked for half a year, would have gotten a pro-rated amount of the payout for that year (Year 1).
So technically you lost out on 1 year of payout. But I suggest you go into intranet and look through the eligibility information so that you understand how.

Incorrect. Refer to the circulars on intranet from 2020. It is clearly stated in black and white that for a D grade given for work done in work year 2021 onwards, the officer will be ineligible for the CONNECT deposit.

Connect plan no longe prorated. Must serve full year. So practicum year you won't get the deposit. Period.

Thanks for the updated correct information. The info I shared, was indeed prior to 2020. My school did not have any D cases since 2020 so didn't have any chance to be updated on this. Usually the school will only go and verify with HR before informing the particular teacher about the implications of D grade, after 1st ranking session.
But good job for confirming it via intranet. It's always good to have the most updated information, so that we can see how policies have changed from the past.

I would say yes to some degree. But if you normally do level-wide / coordinator / school-based / collaborative projects, you will be seen. Visibility is key. Be seen. Be heard. Though just because KPs see you doesn't mean they will advocate for you... but usually any opinion is better than no opinion.
