Wait MOE treats someone who worked less than 2 years outside as a mid career switch?

It should have been 10-11 years since you graduated. I guess the salary figure kind of fits. It's still pretty fast though. Many people I know in your age group are still way below yours. Did you often get consecutively above average performance grades within those 6 years?
Yeah, for males they also consider the 2 years in NS so that's another 2 increments

EO salary scales are higher than MX. My NUS uni batchmates who have gone to other ministries have lower salaries than EOs.
MX has lower starting salaries, but they promote faster

We have the same background. Both graduated at the same time (i.e. 2 years in service) and NUS FASS first-class honours.

Same starting salary? So EO scheme is not a premium scheme after all.

That's interesting. EO salary is supposed to be higher than MX scale, at least at the start. At least when I compare with my batchmates at MOH.

Then again, if you are both 2 year in service, and graduated from NUS, your EO friend would still be in NIE having completed Contract teaching. GEO2(UT) salary is quite stagnant throughout this period. Their next major increment would be GEO2(T) which should see your salaries start matching up and even more so at GEO3 which was given a major boost during salary revision.

All these... either you're not making a fair comparison and trying to rile up unhappy sentiments on a platform where you know teachers are reading or you're just a troll who is just **** at producing fake data.

i have heard that different ministries have a different starting compensation, even for mx scheme...perhaps he is in the higher tier type of ministry?

im actually not surprised if mx holders do manage to catch up or overtake eventually, although the geo scheme has been traditionally known to be "premium" or "specialist"
