Ya, just gotta do it otherwise you will get bad appraisal.
I had a peer that was high performer in A1 so she was given 3 engagements at once when she became A2. Unfortunately, she failed to managed her time well & she was given bad appraisal and was no promoted to Senior. Meanwhile, another peer who was an average performer in A1 & was only given 1 engagement each time was promoted to Senior with average performance.
Moral of the story? The harder you work, the more work you get. No one will sympathize with what you are going through & just expect you to meet the deadlines

Given that auditors and investment bankers/management consultants/global markets work long hours, would it make more sense to work in the latter as they are paid significantly more. IB in BB banks easily 10k++ a mth with 6 months bonus as fresh grad while auditor get 4K+ a month without bonus.
Seen quite a number of accounting/finance grads not working in big 4 but IB in banks

13 years ago, our local Big4 say they will never hire private uni grad, acca, or Malaysian private uni or gov uni graduates to touch the audit of listed companies.
Now times have changed.
Local big4 can no longer be as arrogant as 13 years ago due to the low birth rate in the past 20 years, low salary growth as compare to other industries, less people taking up the accounting uni courses, accounting is no longer seen as prestigious.

Now more than half of the seniors and managers are foreigners. The perception of local auditors has also changed. If you join audit, people will say it's because you never studied hard enough or you cannot make it.

if you dont want to be low balled, avoid reporting roles at all cost. If you want higher pay, aim for tech sector companies. Consider going to large commercial employers for experience first like Shoppee, Grab, Lazada, SEA, P&G etc. Get the commercial experience then jump again
Senior 1 exit min 5.5-6 usually for lower job title then jump again in 1-2 years to higher title at 8+ and so on

don't understand what you mean?
Our audit seniors are cowards who don't dare to do construction audits?

if you have to ask this question, means you likely not bright enough to go IB
if you compare IB and audit, and think they are the same league, means you likely not bright enough to go IB
jokes on u
