Prior to 2013 the local grads all have CA after taking a pre-admission course which is a one week programme. So there are tons and tons of CA.

If you suddenly don’t have, seems to be disadvantaged in your resume.

Anyway just want to have the title and to be considered a “qualified” accountant.

Can put in your name card, after your name. It’s a post nominal title.

Quite cool also.

I tell isca and i tell every shyt auditors.
I qns, why employers prefer acca and jhk yet u ask me do scaq to be difference maker when employers dont hire ca sg and go for acca and jhk.
Why b4 also prefer acca and jhk or pinoy.
I understand when i see the hr and hiring mgr.

Its funny when the b4 mgr not ca sg and the b4 keep gg around to carry balls with isca on how good scaq is, why ca sg is so good.

Even with the endorsement of the authorities; no new qualification is going to be instantly favoured.

I recall one of the old SAC message was, part of the responsibility is on the Chartered Accountants to go out there; show they are of top quality, and help spread the brand and prestige of the title.

That is how every Branded Institution and Qualification achieved fame.

For guys the cut off was 2014, 2 year buffer for NS.

Anyone who go Uni after 2015 not eligible.
