December is full of students here who are panicking and lashing out because they can't land an internship or job at big 4. Anyway the interns i have at advisory don't have issues compared to the ones i hear those at audit are having so it's definitely because the hiring team for audit is just scooping up any warm bodies without giving them any assessments.

Even as someone who left audit a long time ago, it's the same for non-grad roles. Non-audit roles that hire jhk are companies that you don't want to join because normal companies keep their valuable quota for expats not jhk, unless they pay so badly no locals want to join them then bo bian have to use up. Unless you're aiming for 2.5k pay jobs, your competition is other locals.

That said, audit is a sunset industry being crushed by all the new requirements from ACRA. Not sure why they keep asking for silly work from the auditors that add no value. Gov really needs to hire someone with brains to set better directions for the good of the industry.

audit cash, send bank confirmation, trade payables, receivables,interco, loan, expense and sometimes revenue section if it is not too complicated

A2 must lead small engagement from start to finish.they will also audit more sensitive sections like payroll and more complicated sections like tax and rou assets and liabilities

Senior will do consol and those complex stuff which require more professional judgement
