Tell me, how long must one work at Big 4 to hit 100k base if you say it’s the fastest track? I know of a M in consulting drawing only 7k base and he’s considered top performer (5 years experience). Any MAP even those that are trash will get you to 100k base at ~5 YOE.

you can con smart people with "good exits" like they did 5-10 years ago... I've worked with absolutely brilliant people who realised that audit sucks and only managed to move out 2-3 years later because too busy OTing to interview (this is before COVID so everything is f2f, no online interviews and no wfh means must take leave or MC)

because got some idiots go around saying they are Big 4 S1 at 6k pay. turns out is because they are strategy arm plus nego'd with mbb offer in hand. so that's where all these kids got these unrealistic ideas about big 4 pay.

You talk like there are unlimited slots/opening for MAP and all MAP can hit100k with 5YOE.

If so, big GLC/sgx list co cant attract accounting grad/talent to work for them already, Coz MAP offer the best pay like what u said.

But in reality, most of normal commercial co offer pathetic YoY increment

Gosh, do you know how many MAPs are there? You have your banks and government entities (these alone form a HUGE number). Throw in FMCG etc. you must really be pathetic. Even Heineken MAP or Shopee non-MAP gets you to 100k base ~5YOE. Don’t even bring in banks (talking about just BO MAPs).

Sadly , big GLC finance (STE, singtel/ starhub/ sembcorp with 5 YOE barely hit 100k, they need 10 years YOE to hit100k

So , everyone might as well do MaP? Haha
