But u must realize if the flood gates are not opened, with an aging population similar to what japan is facing, we might not have as strong as an economy, without those JHK. Eventhough they deflate our salaries. And if big 4 were to increase our salaries so as to attact more locals, it would have been better. But big 4 refuse to, so that is why they resort to hiring JHK.

So at the end of the day its big 4 fault for choosing to bring JHK in and refusing to raise local salaries to attract locals instead.
However if you realize, our gov has been raising the requirement for EP. So big 4 have no choice but to raise. hehe. machaim point middle finger to partners in big 4
at least the mckinsey ones are honest and say that they hire lean and do layoffs to maintain margins lol, big 4 just say 'cannot find locals' 'no u performance issue'

They didn't raise pay... They just "raised base salary" by slashing bonus so your yearly package is still the same, and hired cmi locals instead of quality foreigners...

One look and i can tell you are JHK or JHB.
Just want to remind you to pay your landlord on time and be thankful we let you in.
Just becos u take 3.5 doesn't mean u can type in this singaporea forum

Its not the locals who are cmi, its the foreigners who are cmi. Experienced malaysians who beg to enter our local big 4 can't speak proper english also means they can't communicate anything even if they have actual quality. Given the same level of work experience, the singaporeans are ahead.

Doesn't matter. If you are that good, you wouldn't be here grumbling about depressed Big4 caused by jhks. You will be eating at Odette or Waku Ghin now on your IB or MBB or lawyer or doctor or FAANG salary, and not arguing with imaginary malaysians online.

In your mind, you think you are better than the jhks whom you despise. In reality, you are on the same level as them because you're doing the exact same job and drawing the exact same pay as them.

those jhk from bolehland unis can't assimilate into our culture. They have the kampung and coolie mindset and only know how to OT and suck up to bosses

last time i got one jhk senior who graduated from amdk uni and he was alright. Big 4 should avoid hiring jhk from bolehland uni

This is very true. Last week, my team had lunch with the engagement manager who is a sgporean. Throughout the entire lunch, the jhk senior was busy sucking up to the manager and yapping non-stop about how audit are done differently when he was in big4 bolehland and how the food and pace of life is so much better there. The manager wouldn’t even bother to entertain him, quickly finish lunch and zao back to work. You know what’s worst? This kampong jhk recently got his pr and couldn’t stop haolian about it everyday. As the saying goes, you can bring the person out of kampong, but you cannot bring the kampong out of the person. Money can’t buy class.

hire jhk? they didnt even hire anyone this year because according to the partners, "the managers and seniors are happy to take on multiple engagements including those from a different dept as it is a learning opportunity".
