These guys grew up with macbooks and iOS & Android smartphones. Apple has simplified UI & UX and
dum bed it all down until Gen Z now have the same computer skills as Boomers. Then Windows follwod.

I bet half of the Gen Z don't even know what to do in Control Panel to do basic end user troubleshooting.

Yeah audit should definitely pay more. Disgusting that it used to be AAB course but now it's a B/CC course at best in such a short span of time.

Anyway I'm looking to move out already since I did my time. I'll die if I have to stay another year of peak considering the complete mess we're in right now.

its not our fault that an AAB course became BCC course. Its more of our government who allowed all those malaysians to flood our gates. pity.

Anyone knows if we're actually hiring? My managers all resigned but it's already December and I still don't see any new ones joining, it's just remaining ones taking up more portfolio. Same for seniors, they just shortened booking periods to cope.

all the sinkies should just resign and let the jhk tank. btw, those greedy firms can't hire any more jhk since there is a quota

There are so many reasons why Accountancy used to be a popular uni course but is like a dumping ground now

1. Last time just need to attend 5 days course to get professional qualification. No SQP nonsense. It was worth it to take Accountancy last time because of this.
2. Older millennials and gen X are alright with slogging for a few years to enjoy huge pay increment and professional qualification
3. No jhk economic refugees to depress salary. I think the floodgate suddenly opened in 2016
4. TBH, Accounting is ****ing boring and people were alright with it last time because of reasons no.1 and 2. Now Gen z got no time for this boring subject and prefer high paying tech jobs or more interesting subjects. Even NTU psychology and mass comm have higher cutoff point than Accountancy. Don't tell me people really got passion to study IFRS and tax rules which change every few years.

Now dont even have high pay anymore. Exit also low pay only. Can't believe psychology and mass comm are harder to enter than accountancy... thanks larry wong
