after staying in my first job for 2 years, it seems that jumping around is just a lot easier o get increments, but going for interviews + applying is very sian.
tbh idk if it will hurt long term or not and if getting a part time topup degree will be useful.

of course
whats the point in getting increments lol the moment the market dies or company start mass layoff, you're back to square 1. people wont pay u just because last time u got paid xyz amount, people pay u because of skills and qualifications.
degree is part of a qualification

final year student needing advice here, I was unsuccessful with my MA program application at a local bank and am thinking of applying for an entry level position there instead. its for a bo role, is this advisable? how different is the increment and progression going to be? thanks in advance!

Generally accounting doesn’t pay much since the market is flooded with cheaper msians but I would say you are doing very well at 8k
6600 to 8000 from 2022 to 2023 is about 21% increment? Did you change job?

You get the offer first then contemplate lah. Not as if you apply sure get. There is a very very very high chance you won't even get an interview cos so many local and foreigners alike vying for the same position.

thank you! Agree with the influx of cheap labour overseas in audit. However, I'm not in the audit/acc field.
Yes job hopped in 2023 and hence the increment
