Can confirm. My colleague E6 for the past 15 years. He take home 9k.
Meanwhile a new principal engineer who joined this year only 6.5k. E5 getting 5k.
HR has no control and standardised pay grade.
Doesn't make sense a lower grade earn more than 2 grades higher.

Old staff possible. New staff impossible. Some divisions increment is only $50, $60 per year. Even if calculate 15 years, that's at most $800 increment.

Different BU different law.
Plus it Possible ar, there is alway the ITE and poly hire, which their rank might cap at senior engineer. So the company just give them annual increment lor.
But whether go 9k, I dun really believe. If you join 15 year ago, even a degree holder is around 2.5-2.9k. That mean you had a 6k plus increment for 15 yr. Normally st traditional increment is 2 digit lain the past. How you get that 6 k increment.
