By the way, what are you smoking and what makes you think you can come onto a forum and give false statements. Are you JK? If you are, please read all the posts and reflect on what you have done, instead of being so paranoid and thinking that there is only one person who has suffered under you and is posting about your misdeeds (I know this might help you sleep better at night, but trust me, there are many many ppl who hate your guts).
(Source: I report to a Director who was at odds with JK (there are quite a few of them so I guess my identity is safe), and had lunch with said scholar several times, once after he returned from his secondment. My Director also bitched to me often about this JK and the **** that she pulled at meetings with CE, some of which I have witnessed for myself. And my Director actually used to be quite close to this JK but fell out with her later after being frontstabbed and backstabbed by her multiple times.)

what did your director bitched about JK and what **** did JK pulled?
we are all curious to know haha

If AO and DT read this, I hope they do something about Spencer Chua to alleviate the suffering of his colleagues who are most definitely demoralised/traumatised by this individual. If you cannot even manage your own staff well, how can you expect to help with the tech manpower at the national level?
Thank you to the other poster for sharing your experience with what is yet another dreadful injustice taking place at human capital. You must have witnessed many atrocities and feel like you have to let it out. Please know that you are not alone and the moral arch will always favour the truth. These "small" people like June Koh cannot hope to cover up their misdeeds with lies (both on and off the forum) forever, and incompetent and sycophantic individuals like Spencer will also be exposed eventually. I would suggest a whistleblowing culture (which is practised at other established companies), if only internally within your department. You can simply send an anonymous email to share the truth about what you and your colleagues have experienced, first to your HOD and later escalate it up the chain of command if nothing is done.

haha spencer chua I knew you would get retribution for all the bad deeds you had done! In case you still dunno, all your former and current colleagues can't wait to see your downfall. We had enough of your PLP skills and playing dirty. AD my foot...everyone knows u sucked kok 100x to be in that position!!!

Agree. Been same department as him before. Very good PLP skills. Talked his way through. But have to salute him la, know what his bosses want to see , hence, can adjust those figures to their liking. Ever since I know how those figures were tabulated, i never believe in what was reported in the mainstream.

I interviewed at 2 telcos, 1 bank, 1 AI startup.
the hiring managers at both telcos commented that IMDA has worsened significantly compared to 3-4 years due to talent drain and they are not confident that my learning and exposure here is good enough
the bank one said that even MAS had more and better tech people than IMDA and the fact that i was working with/reporting to generalist pen pushers was a concern
the startup was the only one that offered me but with a pay cut as they viewed my experience in IMDA as only tech lite. The HR even said that IMDA has to resort to paying more because hardly anyone wants to join them, so don't percieve my current salary as my market value. I've yet to decide if I should take a pay cut but I do know I got to escape from here asap. The branding is bad + the culture is toxic.

Meanwhile non scholars like me have to beg for legitimate conferences, declined all times so far, and instead asked to choose conferences which are virtual. Ok so biz trip envy? Not quite. The creme de la scholar has been given a fully, choose as you please, hybrid work arrangement. We're all in the same team by the way, and are reminded often to stay the 9 hours and not "abuse" the hybrid arrangement. As a result, hires from industry come, kick a$$, get bonuses and bounce. I'm preparing my bounce pad too. Hopefully you fellow non-scholar peasants are smart and capable enough to follow this trajectory too. Else accept your fate and draw that sweet paycheck every month, waiting for a GenZ scholar takes charge of your appraisal LOL.

Ha I am also a non scholar peasant. I dun mind one. Salary quite ok. But ya when these scholars wayang in the big meetings it is both farny and sad to see IMDA promoting wayang kings and queens.
