Although I have a 2nd lower hons degree, I feel like I am being undercut a little here, i was expecting around 4.6-4.8k to be honest, since fresh grads with the same qualifications are already getting $3.4k

Any comments?
If fresh grads with the same qualifications start with $3.4k three years ago, they would probably be reaching about $4.4k now, which is what the stat board is offering you. Sounds fair to me. $200 increment from your current job does not sound like a lot, but if the bonuses are better, it's a good offer isn't it.

May I ask how long would a ministry take to make an offer after the second interview?

It can range from an hour later to two/three weeks. The former happened to a friend who applied for MCI (she was a literal perfect fit for the specific job, so we were not surprised), and the latter MFA. Depends on factors such as how well the candidate did, how s/he measures against the other candidates, SOPs and etc ...

Thanks for the reply.

I applied to one of the ministry. I went for my second round of interview, two days after the first one. They told me they will inform me 1-2 weeks later. Subquently, 2 weeks later, I was told to fill up the G50 form. But they told me the outcome is not confirmed yet. It's nearly a month since I submit my G50 form and I'm kinda worry.

G50 takes like 1 month to clear la. Furthermore if u make any mistake in the form like wrong ic postal code put wrong... they will reject and ask you to resent then it will take another month. I know ppl who took 3 months to clear.

I see. Thank you. I think I put a date wrongly in my G50 form. Hope it will not affect it too much.

I'm kinda worry if I'm not offered a job despite going through 2 rounds of interview.
