Stat boards usually take lead from civil service. I can't speak for customs, but if you read back a few pages, a number of stat boards have already adjusted their pay by about the same degree (5-10%)

Hi, I was recently being offered a role with LTA and have about 6YOe. However, my current role at private co is a perm role and LTA is only able to offer me a 3 years contract role for the AM position.
Are there any success stories of successful conversion from contract to perm or they are use and dump mode?

I have been recently offered a 11 month contract role with SLA, fresh graduate 3.6K. Anyone know or have personal experience of converting to permanent from contract?

It is tough to work in EMA as there is no direction in our energy policy
U have to do a lot of scenarios for the director who is clueless to choose and present to MTi

My understanding is that all new staff join as contract staff. I renewed my 3 years contract and was subsequently converted to perm. Do you mind sharing the salary offer?

Thanks for your response, there some hope then for me. My offered salary is 4.9k only. My salary in the private sector weren’t that high too.
