It depends. There are also flexi hours, where if your RO approves you can start later and end later.

Lol "state" is one thing, actual working hours is another. Not uncommon for civil servants in high profile roles to work crazy hours

its only 23,000 (about 1/3) of the CS folks got increment.
most SBs are on its own salary scheme, may or may not have revision.
even if it does, it could also be 30% of the ppl

I think it varies across departments. Where I work, no one keeps track of what time you log in or off.
But that's because our workload (and therefore hours) is crazy. Think almost 996.

Yea used to think that join government is relax and stable...end up the working hours are insane due to the ridiculous amount of red tape and paperwork while over the years they are cutting staff
