I am in my 17th year. Not sure how I survived so long but didn't recall the earlier years being so challenging either.

I thought PGDE only has 1 intake per year every Dec?

Your bond is probably finishing soon unless you're a scholar...

All the best for your future!

We always have flexi work arrangements. If you want to work 3/4 load or 1/2 load, can always apply. Just that not many are willing to earn lesser with the reduced workload.

As for wfh, our industry really can’t afford to have that. Maybe for teachers in Sec Sch and JC possible. Can wfh during HBL days. But I think tough for primary school teachers.

Now no more covid, all the pattern come out. A lot of VIA or family day/events planned for saturdays, overseas trips, some even got VIA at night etc. On one hand resignation flexi adjuncts all over, on the other hand all these things popping out.

Default questions about SEN Officers

Not much info about this role online.

Would love to know:
  1. what's a day in your life like?
  2. what's the salary like?
  3. what’s your working hour?
  4. what’s your favourite thing working as a SEN officer?
  5. what’s your least favourite thing working as a SEN officer?
  6. what made you apply to become a SEN officer?
  7. understand that applicants need to undergo a 10 month training that’s sponsored by MOE. How was the training like?
  8. I don't have any related background (I majored in economics). Will MOE still take me?

Thank you!
