Hmm.. Just to clarify when I say up to 10+ I meant per doctor. Not the whole clinic.

Farming is real. 10 plus means you see 50+ per day(ard 7/HR) if you take 8-5 as working hrs

Yes. Not uncommon esp Monday and post PH.
Feels so unsafe. Waiting for SMC complaint only. Matter of time before someone misses something serious.

Must admit it's quite hard for ops drs to get sued (or GPS working for large private groups)
I have reading throught smc tribunal reports (on their website) for past few years. Most people who get into trouble tends to be specialist, aesthetics drs or solo GPS in smaller groups/solo clinics.
Never seen ops Dr or rmg/parkway/healthway gps sued

Ops complaint is mainly pr issues la.
Patient wait too long. Doc overworked
Service don't meet expectations
This type don't carry water anywhere.
By and large patient come in u cheerfully greet them 95 percent they don't complain liao
Give them what they want.
Most patient nicer to doctor than your poor receptionist, PSA etc
Smile a bit, apologies most pple ok.
My aim on reaching clinic is to leave as early as possible without being affected by stupid patient as much as possible.
If I'm out before 445 and no patient piss me off for the day, I consider that a very very good day

But if you do that for 5.5 days a week 48 weeks/year (assuming 4 weeks AL), and 30 years, assuming you are 30 and planning to retire in 60s, don't you lose meaning in life?
Sometimes I also wonder if one should take a leap of faith and try something new (can be GP land, open clinic or a different industry) - i.e pivoting your career (something very common outside of medicine but hardly seen within healthcare in general)

Isn't that for every other job also?
I wished my grand father left me 3 freehold shophouse collecting 30k in rent each month so I don't have to work lo then I can work for leisure.
A lot of other non medical jobs are more demanding and pay less
Other speciality not easy also.
Radiology for example, need to read 20 plain film an hour
U try doing that for 8 hours every day lo.
Surgeons come early, end late.
Middle of the night have to go back
