Sry real greenhorn here. Need some advice. If I am applying for a GP job (after mmed), do people usually just go apply directly with the group, or do they go through a recruitment firm?
I updated my CV on jobstreet recently and have received a few calls from recruitment firms, who say they can help me apply and arrange interview with some of the common groups (like healthway, rmg, shenton etc). But with the recent rise in scams, not sure if I should trust them. (Or if they can a better deal for me lol)

Just remember u go interview u no need pay anything
How they scam u if you don't pay anything?
Dun even believe for a moment these job recruiters will get u a good deal.
They get their money from the hiring firm, so who do u think they will bargain in their favour?
U can apply directly.
Now market a bit cooler so lower expectations a bit.
Annual at least 180k for 44 hours work week.
200k desirable.
220k just take it.
250k..better go far far away. Something is wrong.
All the numbers before extra bonus but inclusive of aws
Annual leave u pls nego. Dun take anything less than 21 days
While they say u don't need a m.med to be a GP, but u got a m.med or at least finish fm residency, u already miles ahead of the bond breaker or hospital mo who is fed up of the system
Know your worth.

Thanks for the heads-up. Despite all the troll posting on this forum, all I am looking for is 180-200k annual for 44-max 48 hrs/week. (I.e 5.5 days with 1 night max). Wish me luck (both in exams and job application)

know your worth. Better use your MMED in aesthetics. With a MMED, you are already more qualified than 90% of the cmi GPs in the aesthetic trade.
Don’t believe me?… look at David Loh. That old ugly bugger is making over 2 million a year. With just a MBBS degree.

MMED in aesthetics got use meh? when you get to those ultra high earning levels it's not so much about qualifications and titles anymore.
It's running a business.
