i pity contract term workers...ppl lik my spouse, they do same thing or more, but not granted any aws or bonuses..so unfair...
heard that army have gotten a special bonus this nov..y only applies to them ? n y public servants alwys get little compare to civil servants.. n anyway economy is better than 2007, but they are not giving more.. worst in 2009 where gt giv so much.. 2.2? or is it too little that no one remb.. mus check

Me too. In various contract jobs for the past 4 years. Have not receive bonus for a long time.
Anyone knows how much bonus does companies in the insurance industry pay their non-agent employees? AIA, Prudential, Great Eastern, NTUC Income, etc.

Contract term workers are the underdogs of ANY company. I used to be a contract worker too.
Every year-end, I will hear fellow colleagues (permanent staffs) taking about how they are going to use the bonuses to go for a trip to Europe, buy an Xbox 360 for their kids, go dining in a fancy restaurant, make the payment for a new car,... etc.
I can only keep quiet and listen to them talk. Not able to participate. It's a very lonely experience.
Worst thing is that most native Singaporeans are contract workers and foreigners are permanent staffs.
