Depends on your role and project? Us tech just wear any sort of long pants and t-shirt / polo / shirt.

I imagine business people have to wear typical shirt and black pants.

Not sure what it's like now, but before they eased on going to office, we tech stayed at home for first few weeks~months (depending on project).

A lot of the time you won't know what you're supposed to do until the last minute. But essentially you have 3 days of orientation, a few days of nothing (so take this time to complete whatever mandatory courses they give you) and then you either go for training or start the project (for tech, depending on project).

My advice, try to mix around and keep in contact in whatever group they put you in during orientation and/or training (they're likely the same people assigned to the same project). It can ease a lot of the pressure/stress if this is your first time working and if everyone's more or less on the same page.

Also helpful because you can help each other keep yourself in the loop. For some reason, there are multiple group chats and everyone likes to only talk physically in person or in 1 chat group. So if you aren't in that chat group or didn't hear it in person, you'll never know something important until the last minute.

On Day 1, you have a group of new joiners with you.
Day 2-4 is mostly orientation... values.. security etc
Day 5 is either the same as Day 4 or if you have a project, then you will start to onboard the project.

There's a page called New Joiner Checklist, on there states literally everything you need to complete in your 1st month/quarter/year..
Don't need to worry about this at all...
Thought all new joiners should have a project already cos you’re hired due to the project availability right? Of not you’re technically on the bench?

I don't know if going to collect laptop is literally just that or if you'll be staying back a bit to go through some things, either way, doesn't hurt to dress up but can hurt to not.

Do all new analysts have their own name cards?
How many do you get too?

Ah ok, so formal is required is it? Or is smart casual good enough?

If I recall you can apply for it because it's optional in the form. Think it's a typical plastic case full so maybe 100+?
